Guidelines for Writing and Submitting Articles
The most important things that should be considered in the article submitted by the respected author(s) are as follows:
1- Compliance with structural and methodological requirements: The article must have various sections including the title, author(s) and their organizational affiliation, abstract (maximum 250 words), keywords (3 to 5 words), introduction and problem statement (including introductory explanations, statement of the problem, main objective, questions and/or hypotheses, and review of the literature), methodology, discussion and analysis of findings, conclusion, and references.
2- Compliance with the principle of applicability: The submitted article must be prepared in accordance with the scientific and intellectual needs of the country and the international community.
3- The article must have a theoretical framework: The submitted article must have a specific theoretical framework and scientific and specialized concepts and terms must be used in it.
4- Adherence to substantive points:
a) It is necessary that the different parts of the submitted article have a logical connection and are coherent and coordinated.
b) The subject and content of the submitted article must be creative and innovative.
5- Adherence to the principle of originality: The article must be the result of the studies, experiences and research of the author(s) of the article, and in case of adaptation from the text of other works and sources, accurate reference to the original source must be observed.
6- Adherence to the principle of relevance: The submitted article must be related to the subject area of the quarterly, namely the field of international relations, and be in one of the research areas of regional and global diplomacy of Iran, economic diplomacy, science and technology diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, educational diplomacy, international politics, theories of international relations, foreign policy, international political economy, international security, strategic military issues, regional studies and international organizations.
7- Use of reliable sources: Reliable and original sources (with references) must be used in the preparation of the article.
8- Do not submit an article to other quarterly journals: Before or after submitting an article to the quarterly journal, the article should not be submitted to another quarterly journal or presented at conferences and meetings.
9- Submit an article through the system: Submitting an article to the quarterly journal is only possible through the journal’s electronic system at www.sjcds.ir.
10- Observe the writing rules (formal or formal notes):
a) The maximum length of the article can be 8500 words.
b) The non-Persian equivalent of “specialized vocabulary” and “proper nouns” as well as additional explanations in necessary cases should be placed in the footnotes of each page.
c) The method of writing references in the Persian bibliography is as follows:
* Article in the quarterly journal
Last name of the first author, first name of the first author and last name of the second author, second author’s name (year of publication). Title of the article. Title of the quarterly journal [the title of the quarterly journal should be italicized - not bolded - no quotation marks should be used], publication period, (publication number), xx–xx.
Example:
Sayadi, Mohammad and Khodaparast, Younes (2016). The development of the American shale oil and gas industry and its economic and political consequences on the global energy market. Monthly Journal of Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, 139, 48-58.
* Book
Last name of the first author, first name of the first author and last name of the second author, second author's name (year of publication). Book title [Book title should be italicized - do not use bold - do not use quotation marks]. City of publication: Name of the publisher.

Ebrahiminejad, Mehdi (2015). International Monetary and Financial Organizations. Tehran: Samt.
* Chapter of a book:
Last name of the first author, first name of the first author and last name of the second author, second author's name (year of publication). Chapter title [without change - do not use quotation marks]. In the first author's name, the first author's last name and the second author's last name, the second author's last name. Book title [Book title should be italicized - do not use bold - do not use quotation marks]. City of publication: Name of publisher.

* Website
Last name of the first author, first name of the first author and last name of the second author, second name of the second author (year of publication). Title of the article. Retrieved on date day month year, from the source site [no need to insert a period at the end]

d) The style of writing references in an English bibliography is as follows:

Farsi: (Author's last name, year of publication, page number). For example (Hosseini, 2005, p. 53).
